2,500

2,500 disadvantaged young people (11-13) took part

1,000

1,000 gained a sailing qualification

75 %+

75%+ young people reported improvement in confidence, resilience communication and decision-making.

By participating in this programme, students can learn to overcome the fear of the unknown - this is one of the biggest things which holds are pupils back; they would rather say no to an opportunity then take a risk.

By participating, they’ve really come out of their shells and it’s given them a much better outlook on their lives’
